The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, with support from the Salah Foundation, builds community through the arts by expanding access to cultural experiences and arts education across Broward County. For more than a decade, the Foundation’s strategic investments have strengthened facilities, leveraged private support, and advanced nationally recognized education initiatives that create lasting impact for children, families, and the broader community.

United Way Broward County, with support from The Salah Foundation, is expanding Project Lifeline to meet a sharp rise in food insecurity across the region. The initiative now distributes roughly 85,000 pounds of nutritious food each month through 30 partner pantries and rapid-response Pop-Up distributions. This investment ensures families, seniors, and veterans have dependable access to healthy food during a period of heightened need.

A major investment from the Salah Foundation is expanding the Museum of Discovery and Science’s A Day in K: I’m Going to Kindergarten program, doubling the event to two nights and increasing capacity to 3,500 children and caregivers. This support keeps the program free for families, offering hands-on learning activities, school-readiness resources, health screenings, dinner, and take-home supplies, helping young learners enter kindergarten with confidence and reduced anxiety.

A major grant from the Salah Foundation has significantly enhanced Holy Cross Health’s Heart Failure Clinic, leading to renovations and expanded services. With new facilities and staffing, patient care has improved, resulting in a heart failure readmission rate of 13%, well below the national average, demonstrating better outcomes and earlier interventions.
