Chemotherapy is a difficult process for patients and their loved ones. Recently, the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Broward Health Medical Center (BHMC) made life much easier when they revealed enhancements to its adult infusion center, which were made possible thanks to the philanthropic support from The Salah Foundation.

The center now features 20 infusion chairs, two beds and an express clinic that will perform services such as injections for stimulating agents, medi-port flushes, IV pump disconnects and procedures or infusions that take less than 15 minutes. In addition, the center also features a triage and social services room, iPad technology at the bedside, music, art and pet therapy, peer-to-peer mentoring programs, a café with healthy eating options, and a lush, outdoor healing garden for patients and families to enjoy during their treatments.
