Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Gilda’s Club South Florida was awarded a grant award from The Salah Foundation in support of Noogieland, Gilda’s specialized children’s program that provides healthy ways for children affected by cancer to express themselves.
Noogieland™ is both a concept and a place for children and teens that have a loved one with cancer, who have lost a loved one to cancer, or who have cancer themselves. The Noogieland™ Program makes sure that everyone in the family – mom, dad, brothers, and sisters – get the social and emotional support they need.
“We were honored to have received funding from the Salah Foundation,” said Shelley Goren, Gilda’s Club CEO. “Gilda’s Club is widely recognized as an essential resource for families in our community who are affected by a cancer diagnosis. This funding will allow us to expand our current programming so that we can have a greater impact on those who need us.”
